For the Intervention Laughing - Crying: The Tearcatchers, the Italian curator Emma Ines Panza and the German artist Carina Erdmann commissioned Tearcatcher sculptures from various artists from Switzerland and abroad in order to use them in a performative workshop with a professional mourner. These interventions took place during the DisOrder Group Summer Residency at Raum Station, Zürich.

The idea of this Tearcatcher is that the object can be worn as a chain around the neck. While crying the object can be held to the eye, with the peacock feathers directing the tears down into the small cup where the tears will be collected.
