A life time of being moved
through the body and sight of a human creature.
The moon – in synchronous rotation with the planet we inhabit –
produces ocean tides, body tides and the slight
lengthening of the day – in cyclic turns –
we are moved, even if we are not moving.
The bodies we are born into, the bodies
that grow out of the coming together of two cells, contain an ocean inside themselves.
That ocean is being moved – without being aware of
the movements that go through it, in cycles –
between constant high and low tide, we try to explain
our movements, our being moved
– through the body and sight of a human creature.
